David Blevins has been involved in martial arts for the last 33 years. He started Tae Kwon Do when he was seven years old. He continued to train and is currently a 5th degree black belt under Master Ralph Jaschke and Master Pat Burleson.
Over the years, he has also trained in Karate, Boxing, Judo, Grecco Roman Wrestling, Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. He is a former Junior Texas Kickboxing and point fighting competitor and champion and has successfully competed in amateur MMA and coached both amateur and professional matches. David is currently a Sergeant with the New Braunfels, TX police department where he has served on patrol, SWAT, administration and is currently assigned over the Criminal Investigations Division. He is a TCOLE and is a Defensive Tactics instructor, certified in Gracie Combatives levels 1 and 2. David has been blessed to be able to travel around the U.S. and train with some of the best BJJ practitioners in the game. David earned his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt in 2015 under his professors, Jean “Dalua” Cartagena and Andre “Tim” Montiero.
