Very ornate large brown transferware white ironstone pitcher dating to the late 1880's. It has a very ornate handle with lovely embossed lines, a very curvy ornate neck, gorgeous embossed lines on the body on both sides and a beautiful pattern named Utah. On both sides is a lovely pattern of peonies with other florals. There is a little vignette of a tulip bud with leaves and other florals on the inside of the lip and one on the other side on the outside of the lip. It is marked Utah on the bottom. There is a very tight little hairline on the inside of the lip and a large chip on the bottom which cannot be seen when upright. The pitcher measures 12" high to the top of the handle and about 10" wide at its widest. Just a gorgeous pitcher!
