Fabulous large antique Scottish plaid tartan ware tea caddy box dating to the 1880's. The plaid is the Stuart pattern and is marked STUART on the top of the lid. It has a brass escutcheon, but no key. Inside, there are 2 compartments with lids. The brass hinges are in good working order. The box measures 5.5" high, 9" long, and 5" wide. The tea caddy is in remarkable condition---there is very little wear. Displays beautifully!
