Antique french porcelain statue of the Madonna Mary dating to the late 1800's. She is on a base with the gilt letters MA for Madonna. She has beautiful robes with gilt stars with her hands open to the sides of her body. I have been told if the Madonna has her hands then the lady in possession of her is single. If the hands are missing then the lady is married. She has a beautiful hand painted face with a gold crown and dark hair. She measures 9.25" high and 3.5" wide. I could not find anything wrong with her other than some of the gilt is faded. Just a fabulous piece!
