Wonderful antique English wooden pencil box that I think is Maple wood. It has a brass button to pop the box open and a brass cartouche on the top inscribed D. Mollison 102 High St. Oxford 1853. The wood has a quite worn beautiful patina. The box measures 2 3/8" high, 8.5" long, and 1 5/8" wide. It has 2 brass hinges in good working order. The inside of the box has a black leather liner. It has a few worn marks, but in fabulous condition for its age!
