Great vintage french enamelware set of 6 red and white canisters dating to the 1930's. The canisters have a white ridged body and lid with red stripes and lettering. They are marked from largest to smallest: Sucre, Farine, Cafe, Pates, Chicoree, and Poivre which is sugar, flour, coffee, pates, chicore, and pepper respectively. The largest canister measures 7.5" high to the top of the finial and 5.5" across. The smallest measures 5" high to the top of the finial and 2.75" across. All canisters are marked B.B. TORSEINE Dek. 1799, which I am told was the best producer of french enamelware. There is some loss of paint and enamel and they are very clean inside. A great set for your kitchen!
