Found in Stuttgart, a wonderful bust of the German Poet Schiller made by Goebel. The head is made of bisque and rests on a black wooden square base. The front of the bust is inscribed SCHILLER and the back is inscribed Bochmann. It has a sticker on the bottom that says W. Goebel W. Germany. Friedrich Schiller was a German Poet 1759-1805. He spent quite a bit of time in Stuttgart. The bust measures 9" high, about 5" wide and 5" deep. There is some wear, loss of paint to the wooden base and some chips to his right collar. He has a very nice profile.
