Lovely English Victorian mahogany tea caddy with inlaid on the top of the lid, key that really locks, and 2 compartments. It rests on 4 balled brass feet that show wear. The patina of the wood is wonderful with a scratch here and there. The hinges work fine and I do think there has been a small minor repair of the wood above one of the hinges. The keyhole is lined with what I think is bone and the key really locks the box. Inside are 2 compartments with lids and the knobs are bone same as the keyhole. The lining on the inside of the compartments has worn away. The box measures 4.5" high, 7.5" long and 4" deep. A fabulous tea caddy dating to around 1860's!
