Beautiful vintage french ormolu jewelry casket display box with thick beveled glass. The casket has 2 front beveled glass doors that swing open and has a rotating handle to securely keep the doors closed. It has 2 shelves with ecru silk gathered lining. The borders around the beveled glass has a cutout heart pattern and the top shelf has an ornate floral border. The top of the box has a crown on the front and the box rests on 4 ornate feet. I could find no chips or cracks to the glass and the ormolu has some loss of gilt here and there. The silk lining is in very good condition with no damage. The curio measures 3.5" to the top of the glass shelf, 2.75" wide, and 2" deep. Imagine displaying your most precious jewelry on the shelves! A gorgeous one of a kind from France.
