Absolutely wonderful silverplate tea caddy by the most famous of silversmith's Elkington & Co. dating to the late 19th C. The design is of the empire style using four ancient Roman profiles, swags of laurel leaves and classic designs. The tea caddy has a beaded border around the finial, the lid, and the bottom. The hinge is in good working order and the inside is clean. The tea caddy measures 7" to the top of the finial and 6" across. There are no dents. It is marked 13275 & a shield with E & Co., the letter N and Elkington & Co. A wonderful piece of workmanship!
