Gorgeous antique sterling silver and mother of pearl handle magnifying glass. The handle has a sterling silver ornate 1/2" wide collar and is hallmarked Sheffield 1890 with W.Gibson & J.L. Langham silversmiths for Mappin & Webb. At the end of the handle is another sterling silver ornate 1/2" wide collar with the same hallmark. The mother of pearl is beautiful and the handle is round with a very smooth patina. The magnifying glass is 2.5" across and I believe is 8X magnification. The rim around the glass is not sterling silver and the glass is from a later date. The handle is 3.25" long and with the glass is 5.75" long. This would make a wonderful gift for male or female.
