Lovely silverplate bride's basket by the renown British silversmiths Mappin & Webb. It has a decorative handle that is hinged. The basket has a reticulated design around the main body with curved borders. It rests on a pedestal. The basket measures 2.75" high without the handle and 8" high to the top of the handle, and 9.5" across. It is marked Mappin & Webb London & Sheffield Mappin Plate W27529. I could find no dents and there are some faint scratches in the center of the basket. This has many uses as a flower holder or candy holder. Add a linen to hold bread and rolls, etc.
