Fabulous antique English sterling silver and glass match holder and striker with hallmark Birmingham 1887. The glass is very heavy and ribbed to strike a match on it. The sterling silver insert has the hallmark on the collar and holds the matches. It can be removed for easy polishing. It measures 2.5" high and about 2.5" across. I could find no dents in the silver or cracks or chips to the glass. Just a fabulous piece!
